• Price history. The price has to be low for that product over the last few months, not just low compared to the strikethrough.
• Price against similar products. 50% off a $40 item isn't a deal if the same thing from another brand is always $20.
• Ratings and sales. 4 stars or higher with real buying volume behind it.
• Limited time. If it sits at that price every week, it's just the price.
• Prime shipping. Free, fast shipping so the deal stays a deal at checkout.

Where Amazon hides its best prices

Most of the best savings aren't on the front page.
